Auto365 Live are proud to announce that we will be hosting the inaugural Cosmetic Repair Competition for SMART Repair Technicians at our 2017 exhibition. So if you think your are the SMARTest technician around, compete in our 4 round competition and show us what you’ve got and register today!
Competition Format
ROUND 1
PLASTIC REPAIR – FRIDAY at 2PM-5PM
Competitors will have 30 minutes to carry out a plastic texture reproduction against the template sample provided. Competitors are to arrive between 2PM-5PM to participate in Round 1.
ROUND 2
COLOUR IDENTIFICATION – FRIDAY at 5:30PM-7PM
Between 5:30PM-7PM on the Friday, competitors will have just 5 minutes to identify the colour ID used on a number of pre-painted panels, with the best 6 from Rounds 1 and 2 moving on to Round 3 of the competition that will continue on the Saturday morning.
ROUND 3
MASKING A REPAIR – SATURDAY at 9:30AM
The top 6 competitors after Rounds 1 and 2 will then be asked to mask a ‘virtual repair’ using the materials provided within a 15 minute time period. With our on-looking expert judges scoring competitors for their work.
THE FINAL – SPRAY TECHNIQUE – SATURDAY at 1PM
The final round of this epic competition will test competitors on their spray technique in a controlled environment. Who will show the best all-round skills and win the title of Cosmetic Repair Master 2017 and scoop the cash prize (£250) and prizes worth £1000 from the competition sponsor LKQ Coatings. The runner-up will also receive a cash prize of £100 and prizes worth £500 from LKQ Coatings.

THE VENUE
Last year’s feedback from attendee and exhibitors has helped Lumisi in the planning for this year’s Auto365 Live event which is now well under way. The venue has been confirmed as Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Trafford Park, Manchester. The new venue will provide the perfect backdrop for the event whilst allowing for more space (we have doubled the floor space from last year) to accommodate the increased numbers of exhibitors and visitors. The venue is well known for their excellent facilities and is situated near the centre of Manchester, so is perfectly placed for hotels, amenities and transport links.
